Joyce!

Joyce!Singing has always been the focal point of Joyce San Mateo's life. She was born in the Philippines. Joyce started singing Jazz in her early college years, performing at different 5-star hotels in the Philippines. After graduating from college, she performed in different countries in Asia.

Joyce immigrated in the Netherlands in 1998. Here she explored different kinds of music; Dance, Trance, Rock, Pop, R&B/Soul, Black Gospel and Funk. She discovered that her heart is not only for jazz but also for Soul and Funk. Due to her proficient singing prowess she was hired immediately by different cover bands playing pop, soul, old-school-funk, dance classics, black gospel and jazz music.
Her vocals were included in the Baja Beach club CD's in 1998, where she sang the versions of "You to me are everything" and "Celebration". She also recorded "Tell Me" that was included in the Trance 100, with the stage name of "Missy J". She was a finalist of "De Grote Prijs van Nederland-Vocalist of Dance Music Division". Furthermore, she has composed, collaborated and recorded different types of music with different recording producers.

In July 2008 she performed with Ruud Jacobs and Martijn Iterson and went back to her roots, singing jazz. In August 2008 she was honoured to sing with the Dutch Queen of Jazz, Rita Reys at the 'Afterjazz-aan-de-Plazz' party at 'De Watergeus' in Nieuwkoop.

With forming the band 'The Vibe Society', she formed a band with the best musicians in the Dutch music industry, bringing out a high quality of music and entertainment.
